It’s time to capture a little love the old-school way. Fujifilm’s Instax Mini 7 instant film camera takes me to movies set in the 80s; to a more romantic decade (from here that’s what it looks like!) where making a memory was a bigger deal than just pulling out your phone camera and snap! Picture captured and deleted within a moment. Blah! The Mini 7 camera series is just the best way to recreate romance and a moment of instant magic. Everyone has Snapchat and an instant connection to share photos but the joy of using the Fujifilm Instax Mini 7 camera, just you and your friends in that moment of anticipation of a an actual, tangible photograph in your hands, it’s priceless!

The Instax Mini 7 camera is extremely user friendly with its Fujinon Lens; the images are of high quality and I love that one can adjust the exposure! So when I’m looking for a summery, pastel-filled shoot, I’ve got my controls at my fingertips. Other features include a flash of course, the image size is 2.13” X 3.4” and the camera uses Fujifilm Instax Mini Film to give us shutterbugs, a refined photograph, nay, memory *twinkle in the eyes haha*.

Needless to say that the camera itself is so prettay! The fool that I am, I even took pictures of the camera *noob* but it’s worth the addition, no doubt. Now days, photographs have become so disposable due to our smartphone cameras, I look forward to setting up a mini shoot with my girlitas and making a day out of it. And these are the photos that truly last a lifetimes; it just gives the moment an edge. A vintage edge!

Jivaana x AB

Did someone say curated treasure? Jivaana did! Ladies & gentlemen, this is my new favourite website http://www.jivaana.com. Literally, my browsing history shows that I have a problem *sigh*. Anyway let’s dig right into it with #MyJivaana. It is an e-commerce website that curates ethnic occasion wear and accessories of the utmost quality. The inception of Jivaana came about when they realised that our ethnic flavours are a little lost somewhere amidst western wear (not counting fusion wear). So naturally, for us consumers, there’s a B.E.A.yuuuutiful selection of dainty and intricate jewellery, clutches, minaudières, potlis and clothing as well!

I chose, after countless hours of finally making a decision btw *ugh*, a Black Bird Minaudière by Soulkit. I instantly fell in love with the peacock motif and the zari embellishment gaaah. Not to mention the classic black & gold combination which is beautifully accented with peacock and electric blue. If you look closely, the Soulkit minaudière has Zari AND Gota Pati work and it’s put together in an extremely elegant symmetrical fashion.
I styled #MyJivaana with a simple LBD so it remained the star piece of my outfit. I added a pair of thin gold hoops to balance the gold and to tie the whole outfit together. The great thing about this minaudière is that it has an ethnic look & feel to it but the modern treatment and the body of the accessory is perfect for any western outfit as well! A style tip for an ethnic outfit: If you’re not a minimal girl, don’t hold back, go all out with over-the- top black & gold embellishments in your outfit and let your Jivaana be the perfect accessory. Happy accessorising!

Swarovski x AB

Hey Lovelies,

Hope you’ve all been doing great. This post is in collaboration with Swarovski ❤

“Every piece tells a story and embodies over 120 years of mastered craftsmanship”
Swarovski’s brand philosophy is simple beautiful; the quote above is from http://www.swarovski.com and I feel it perfectly describes everything the brand stands for. Storytelling, the romance in its history and its craftsmanship. The Swarovski team prides itself on their unique curation of designs, their detail-oriented craftsmanship and their heritage. Founded in 1895, the founder wanted to create “a diamond for everyone” and the opulence of Swarovski rocketed in the 1920s. That was the decade when crystal diamonds were embellished on dresses, accompanied by beads.
In addition to the ideology, the brand does a lot of CSR activities as well (Corporate Social Responsibility, for you dummies who don’t know) including Creating Responsible Product, Ethics and Integrity and many more…
These are the elements that make a brand remarkable and unforgettable, it’s definitely more than the product offering. Speaking of which, I received an absolutely gorg hamper from the team. It contained a bag, a scarf, bracelets from their Crystal Wishes collection and a beautiful (and much needed!) jewellery box. And may I just I’m in lurrveeee! Which girl doesn’t love jewellery, well there may be some out there but I am a die-hard lover for accessories. Their Crystal Wishes collection is extremely clean, slick and of course so shiny *dying!* Glamour Alert! The best part is, the bracelets are designed for two! You can layer the two together or gift them to your bestie (or whoever!). The design, as I mentioned before, is simple yet sparkly (I love the crystal pavé!). As for the scarf and jewellery box; it’s so charming and OMG I needed one desperately. Swarovski to the rescue, with a whole of lot sparkle haha.

Lurap x AB

Hey Lovelies,

Hope you’ve all been doing great. This post is in collaboration with Lurap ❤

From a world of standardisation, the fashion industry has come a long way and gone a few steps back. I’m talking about personalization in our style. Sure, when we wear the same sweater as someone, the look could be different (depending on the styling) but wouldn’t It be better to have your own clothes, tailored to you, with no other copies? Now is the time you should visit http://www.lurap.com and explore their one-of- a-kind website. Lurap presents some fabulous options in gorgeous plus size women dresses and a lot more for petite women.

The service they are providing is mighty unique. You go to any category, choose the piece you like and get ready to customize it to your style. Feel free to change the hemline, the sleeves, and the neckline even. It was great to have our lehenga-choli fitted and tailored (I always dread those visits to the tailor argh!) but to have my dresses fitted exactly to my body type? That’s golden.

In a crazy world of being bombarded almost daily with new innovations, Lurap has not only innovated, but broken it down beautifully. Do explore the website and you’ll know what I mean; the way it works is clearly defined and extremely helpful with relevant links at each step. Sure, there are a lot of cool websites with amazing graphics but what I love is that I get fashion and EASY shopping all under one roof, not to mention the added benefit of having my own customized dress.

Admyrin x AB

The festivities came with a hella crazy bang this year! Earlier it was mostly about the one Diwali day where our parents used to dress us up in lehengas, we would stuff our faces with kaju barfi and engage in the firecracker session till late hours with our cousins. But of course today it has become about being with your family that you gained along the way as well (and card parties Teehee). I’m talking about friends by the way and this year I was bombarded with Diwali parties and all sorts of ethnic-themed gatherings. So what’s a girl to do about keeping the theme in mind!? ADMYRIN!
Your one-stop shop for all festivities and shaadi season attires, Admyrin is one of my favourite e-tailing sites to shop from (especially this time of the year *SAVIOUR!*).
The site has impeccable collection of gorgeous embroidered lehengas to embellished salwar suits to printed sarees. Not to mention, lace, zari, patch work, celebrity-inspired and lots more.
I wanted to stick to a more natural and soft palette so I went with a beautiful lemon & eggplant purple combination for one look.  Another one I opted for was, a washed-out grey is blue with matt gold work. My third look was an anarkali in pista green shade with minimal work on it, just the way I like it. I kept the look very classy with just a pair of drop earrings or jhumkas, some bangles and a purple or red lipper. The fourth and fifth looks are casual yet comfortable. Comment and let me know which look you loved the most!
Design aside, the fabric, the fit and the work on all my ensembles was beyond expectation. Admyrin is definitely a keeper.

Plimsolls and Boots

Hello Everyone,

Hope you’ve all been doing great. It’s October! Which means the scorching heat is on its way to the exit, thank god! Other than the festivities, I love that this month enables one to layer up comfortably and wear body hugging clothes without a moment’s hesitation. So with that excitement in mind, I put a look together that can transform from day to night effortlessly with just a few changes.

I stuck with basics for this one and opted for a pair of washed out skinny jeans and a black tank top. Simple silhouettes are appropriate for any occasion and you can dress it up for fancy event or dress it down for a simple day to your college or workplace.

Detailing is key! I added a black skinny belt and made a knot in the traditional way to give it an edge that October celebrates. Chokers are THE statement accessory!! So of course I wore a lace one along with a tie-up piece ( I made :P). This ensemble needed the perfect end with patent leather black booties.

The same outfit can be made more ‘back-to- school’ style. To achieve a more casual 90’s look, I changed to a pair of Plimsolls. The over-sized trend might never leave us (love! ❤ ) and so, I added an over-sized black ‘n’ white shrug over the tank top.

In addition to that, I decided to add a resort touch with a wide-brimmed white hat! This baby not only protects my face from the sun, but brings such a happy & pretty addition to the look. Hence, making this outfit easily transform from day to night.
